Intermission snacks
The auditorium in the castle courtyard has a capacity of up to 1300 seats, so there is normally a long queue at the refreshment stalls during intermissions. You can book in advance an intermission high-top table with sparkling wine and small refreshments ready for you. Thus you avoid queues and your friends will be pleasantly surprised! Festival dinners
You can have a dinner directly at the castle before any show held in the castle courtyard. This will save you troubles searching for a place in the overcrowded Litomyšl restaurants, you will be sure to make it for the start of the show and you will link your artistic experience with a culinary experience in the extraordinary atmosphere of the first courtyard of the castle. Part of the three-course menu, which is served 90 minutes before the scheduled start of the show, is also wine to accompany each course, beverages and coffee. Orders available form March 2021.
Have a picnic
The pleasant surroundings of Litomyšl Monastery Gardens are inviting as somewhere to sit on the lawns. Why not add something to eat to that? At the stand in the gardens we will lend you a picnic hamper with the necessary cutlery and a picnic blanket, letting you choose the contents form the current assortment on offer. The staff at the stand will prepare your hamper while you wait, at any time the weather allows from 11 June to 6 July 2020 from 10 a.m.

During the festival some of the restaurants provide special services. They set up special menus for fast service before programmes, extend their opening hours including keeping their kitchens open, so that after the concert has finished visitors to Smetana’s Litomyšl can have supper or sit down over a glass of wine. It is therefore I good idea to not go by the normal opening hours and check everything by phone. Of course you should also make a reservation in time!

If you are not able to find accommodation in Litomyšl, try to find something in the surrounding towns and villages.
