26. ročník Národního operního festivalu Smetanova Litomyšl 1984

V listopadu 1983 se slavnostně otevíralo Národní divadlo po rekonstrukci Smetanovou Libuší. A právě tuto inscenaci přivezla Praha na Smetanovu Litomyšl v roce 1984. Hrála se 22. června, dirigoval Zdeněk Košler, režii měl Karel Jernek. Slavnostní opera byla provedena skutečně v reprezentativním obsazení: Libuše Macháčková- Hrubá (Libuše), Václav Zítek (Přemysl), Antonín Švorc (Chrudoš), Dalibor Novotný (Šťáhlav), Jaroslav Horáček (Lutobor), Ivan Kusnjer (Radovan), Antonie Denygrová (Krasava), Věra Soukupová (Radmila), Jana Jonášová, Jiřina Marková, Marie Veselá a Alfréd Hampel (ženci).

Druhý večer se hrála Prodaná nevěsta v režii Ladislava Štrose, dirigoval opět Zdeněk Košler. Nové bylo obsazení hlavního páru: Mařenku zpívala Zora Jehličková, Jeníka Leo Marian Vodička.
