32. ročník Národního operního festivalu Smetanova Litomyšl 1990

XXXII. ročník festivalu v roce 1990 byl zahájen koncertem Pocta Bohuslavu Martinů k 100. výročí narození rodáka z blízké Poličky. Mimo jiné zazněla Rapsodie pro violu a orchestr a Polní mše. Hráli Lubomír Malý a Východočeský státní komorní orchestr (pozdější Komorní filharmonie).

V sobotu 16. června zazněly v zámeckém amfiteátru tóny Mozartovy Kouzelné flétny (Národní divadlo Praha). V režii Karla Jerneka dirigoval Jan Štych. Hlavní role obsadili Helena Zachatová jako Královna noci, Zdeněk Harvánek v roli Papagena, Miroslav Kopp jako Tamino, Jiří Kalendovský v úloze Sarastra a Jiřina Marková jako Pamina.

Víkend uzavřela stará inscenace Libuše (tatáž jako v roce 1984), která měla v Litomyšli svoji derniéru. Režíroval ji Karel Jernek, dirigoval Josef Kuchinka.
